GKN Automotive Hungary:

It is a truly exciting time to join us at GKN Automotive in Hungary. We are building a new manufacturing facility on the outskirts of Miskolc which will primarily include assembly, and office accommodation.

Our Miskolc facility will represent an important regional facility for the driveline technologies that GKN Automotive supply to our global customer base and in phase-1, we will employ up to 500 people from the local community in 2023, and will continue to develop the site over time in further phases in line with our ambition to double (or even triple!) the scale of our site.

The Role:

We are seeking a Site service engineer to join our team in our Miskolc plant.

Job description

  • Supervising and implementing the plant's spatial development plan (plant layout) in accordance with applicable building regulations and internal procedures;

  • Able to read drawings of installations (cooling, ventilation, water, sewage, air compress) and compare with company standards

  • Coordination of reports with external company during building extension project

  • Providing up-to-date documentation for facilities (documenting changes; availability of operating and operating instructions , etc.)

  • Following the procedures and instructions of the SSM

  • Coordination cyclic service acc to law with fire protection external company

  • Coordination cyclic service for pressure tanks, elevating platform etc

  • Planning of expenses related to investments, maintenance and modernization of equipment and installations of plant infrastructure

  • Taking care of the timely implementation of cyclical service inspections in accordance with the approved schedule;

  • Analyzing the causes of failures, potentially accidental events including taking action to prevent recurrence;

  • Planning and implementation of savings projects and projects improving the efficiency of media consumption

  • TISAX participation

  • Air condition management

  • Service of cranes, pressure tank, elevating platform

  • Fire protection service – supervise and insurance visit preparing

  • Air compressed installation (include leakage management)

  • Extension of building: layout of building supervision, everyday meeting with external construction company and suppliers, review extra low voltage drawings, schedule review with construction company, supervision on subcontractors job, material flow meeting with whole team, technical review description (MMS), reporting to management and global structure

Requirements

  • Higher technical education

  • Minimum one year of work in a technical department with similar responsibilities

  • Ability and experience in planning projects and activities, their monitoring in terms of costs and efficiency.

  • Communicative knowledge of English

  • Knowledge of standards and regulations in the field of infrastructure management (Construction Law, Labor Code, OHS, fire protection; ISO 50001, ISO45001, ISO14001, TISAX)

  • Computer and office equipment support – MS OFFICE software; AutoCAD
